Celebrate man’s best friend at the city’s 14th annual Bark In the Park event. Admission is free for all ages.
The dog festival features a variety of contests, Atomic Dogs flyball demonstrations, more than 40 pet-oriented vendor booths, a Frisbee tournament and pet adoptions. Members of the Henderson Police Department will also be on hand with their K-9 partners to host demonstrations.
An all-new 5K fun run for dogs and their human friends will take place prior to Bark In the Park. The inaugural Rover Run is at 9 a.m. along Cornerstone Park Trail. The first 350 registered participants will receive a T-shirt and a finisher dog tag for their dog’s collar. Registration is $25 per person. Use activity code 151234-58 when registering online or in person at one of the city’s recreation centers.
All dogs must be leashed and under the control of a handler at least 10 years old. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
